Hello, lovely one!

How was your day? I’m glad you could join me on this 30 Days of Gratitude challenge. There’s something wonderful about the way gratitude shifts our focus from what’s not working in our lives to what is working. It reminds us that even though we aren’t where we wanted to be, we realize things could be worse; but they aren’t. We are still alive and with internet access for you to read this post. When you really look, you’ll find that there are many things to be grateful for.

So, let’s keep looking for those reasons.

Day Two: Tell Someone you Love them

For today, the prompt is to tell someone you love them. Funny how my 5-year-old niece beat me to it. I like how she doesn’t hesitate to say she loves someone or something. In this case that someone was me. It warmed my heart like a cozy blanket on a cold night. I told her I loved her too. And it occurred to me that no matter how cranky or annoying she could be sometimes, she is also this really sweet and thoughtful child. I love her so much no matter what she does!

Love is a beautiful thing. I believe it’s the reason we keep staying alive. It’s the strength that keeps us going long after we thought we couldn’t. Love also means realizing people aren’t perfect, but choosing to accept and love them anyway. So, before you tell someone you love them, be sure you mean it in deed and not only in words. Show kindness and acceptance in your love walk with others. We all need it.

A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself and especially to feel, or not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at any moment is fine with them. That’s what real love amounts to – letting a person be what he really is.
