I can’t remember the first time my 3-year old niece asked me that. All I remember is how it took me down the rabbit hole of what happiness is and all the things I needed to make me feel happy. (Hmmm, like a good vacation, or maybe some massage, ah yes lots of money, or maybe some extra fries… the list goes on of the possible things that can make me happy).
Thank you all for following this challenge from the 6th of December! It’s been an amazing journey of finding reasons to be thankful for, by thinking hard about things for each letter of the challenge. If you didn’t join us, you could always make a thanksgiving list of your own for the year that is ending today. Aren’t you just excited?!
It’s the second to the last day of the year 2019!!! How does this make you feel? This is a time for reviewing and planning. Even if you’re scared, remember you can still do it scared. Take that step, make that move…the year isn’t over just yet.
If you’ve been following us for the post 25 days, you’d know we’ve been doing our annual thanksgiving list that involves using the A-Z alphabets to show our gratitude.
They say if you keep doing something for 21 days straight, you make it a habit. Suffice it to say we’ve made thanksgiving a habit; even when we don’t feel like it, even when we’re tired. To be honest, this journey has been tough. Some days I’d be about to sleep before I recall I haven’t written the day’s post! Whoever said commitment was easy. Lol. Let’s get through today’s thanksgiving list, shall we!
How did you spend your Christmas? Mine was spent at church, then later with family over a dinner table. Not particularly the way I had dreamt it would be, á la Hallmark movies. Where I would have been off work in the city and somewhere in my country home riding on a crisp white horse with my knight in shining armor (literally!) Having snowball fights (it doesn’t even snow in my country), listening to carolers (nope! Just church choirs), talking about fond childhood memories, and enjoying the magic of Christmas! I guess that’s only in my dreams (and Hallmark, of course!)
No matter how you spent your Christmas, I hope you got to reflect on the birth of Jesus Christ and the hope and joy this brought to the world. Whatever season you’re in right now, I want you to know you’re not in it alone, He’s right there with you. Today is the 22nd day of the 26-day Think-Thank Challenge! 5 days to go!!! (Also means 5days before the end of the year, can you believe it?! 🤗
