Fallow Ground

Still on writing on the fly, I’m developing a short story (which I’ve broken into different parts). Do join me everyday as the story unravels. Feel free to share your thoughts on how you think it should go. Ciao!

Part I

Sometimes in life, a sudden situation, a moment in time, alters your whole life, forever changes the road ahead. – Ahmad Ardalan.

Jessica rubbed her hands around the circumference of her belly. It was the size of a football. She hated how she looked, and how she felt. She hated her body for betraying her. She shut her eyes as her mind drifted to where it all began.

November Writing Challenge- Prompt 5

Hiya!

Welcome to Day 5 of the writing challenge.

No Single Truth

Today’s topic is a little philosophical. Matter of fact, it cuts through theology, philosophy and psychology (Yup! Had to do a little reading on that). It’s on the concept of ‘no single truth’. Some argue that having a single truth, means the rest are false. But then again how can they be false if those who follow it claim it’s true? Well, I’m not gonna bore you with all that.

Here’s what I think:

We are all trying to seek the truth and meaning of our existence. I hope your truth is absolute, and I hope it charts your way and I hope it gives you life. -M.

We all need a navigation system to get through life. Without it, we’d be lost. That’s why Jesus assures us that He’s the way, truth and life. This is the truth we believe, the path we follow to the father and inevitably the abundant life we’re called to have. Isn’t that just beautiful?! ❤️

Here’s one truth you must know to be true—God loves you just the way you are. And He loves to have a relationship with anyone who would accept Him. ❤️

Love,

M.❤️

Day 14 of the Think-Thank Challenge 2019

Hi guys!

We are slightly past halftime and we’ll be edging towards the end of the challenge as well as towards the end of the year. Aren’t you excited?? I know I am!

Today’s letter is N, and I bet there are a lot of things to be thankful for if you would only put your mind to it and think. 🤔🤔🤗

My Thanksgiving List for Letter N

  • I’m thankful for my country NIGERIA; it’s got its unique issues but it’s still home. And I’m happy to have such a rich heritage and an origin that can be traced.
  • I’m thankful for NIGHTS all through the year and how God has kept me through them.
  • I’m thankful for my NIECE and NEPHEW; they’ve indeed been a burst of joy! Their hugs just when you need it, their laughter at your silly jokes…everything!
  • I’m thankful for all the NICE guys out there, keep being nice!
  • I’m thankful for all my NEEDS that were met this year!
  • I’m thankful for all the NEW blog followers I had in the year!

It’s your turn! What are you thankful for that starts with N?

When life is sweet, say thank you and celebrate. And when life is bitter, say thank you and grow. – Shauna Niequist

Love,
