Day 20

Hiya!
Thanks for coming to my blog today! It’s day 20 of the 30 days challenge I started at the beginning of the month. The two-fold goal of writing consistently to break the writer’s block and win back traffic, have been totally worth it! All the posts are not planned- I literally wake up to ask myself what today’s challenge is. I hope you also enjoy the surprise that comes with each new day as well. Thank you for the comments, likes, and readership. You guys are the best! With 10 days left, I’m sure that God will see us through to the very end. Let’s check out today’s challenge!

Day 7 of 30

Hiya!

Today I’m writing this post pretty early. But guess what, I’m still stuck in traffic going to work. Haha. it’s been raining heavily and motorists have had to slow down. A forty-minute trip has stretched for three hours. Lots of cars have broken down due to the flood. Anyway, that’s basically the update from where I am. But let’s not dwell on that. Welcome to my tea party- there’s hot choco, coffee and tea. Just perfect for the rain! Feel free to catch up on yesterday’s post.

Day 6 of 30

I’m writing this post amidst strangers on a bus while stuck in traffic and all I see are the brake lights of the cars in front of me. Sighs. It’s been a rainy day which consummated in the usual Lagos traffic. Today is a major one though. It turns out a trailer carrying tons of tinned tomato somersaulted. Slippery roads, I guess. It’s sad. If you’re reading this, just take a minute to thank God for life. Everything may not be right with the world, but you’re here and that’s worth thanking God for. Hope you had a good day. In case you missed yesterday’s post, here’s the link to catch up on.

She looked so peaceful, sleeping away all her sadness. She heaved a sigh in her sleep as though she had heard his thoughts. She tried to adjust in the uncomfortable bus seat while holding her arms around her shoulders, obviously cold from the heavy downpour a couple of minutes back.  Read more

DTM: Of Rain Blues

Copy of Did You Know--- (1)

How has your week been?

Mine has been rainy really. And with every droplet comes the dampness and the blues. If you listen closely you can hear the heavy sighs of souls arching or maybe that’s just the sound of Lagosians dealing with crazy traffic. Whatever it is though, the blues are here but we can’t let ’em stay. Read more
