It’s day errr…I’ve lost count. The letter however is P for Poems. 😉
I read this really lovely, thought provoking poem by Nikkita Robert and I thought to share. To visit her blog, please click here. She’s got mind blowing poems, you’ll thank me later 🙂
Sometimes
Sometimes, it is better to leave than stick around. If we’re honest sometimes being the one who held out the longest isn’t a worthy crown. And sometimes, know when the game’s up and when the referee calls the end. Sometimes, know when to walk away, keep your head held high and don’t even say goodbye!
This poem had me pondering for days. The lines are full of depth! I just couldn’t help sharing! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! Thanks again Nikkita!
Quick reminder!
Please if you have any questions to ask me, kindly drop them in the comment section or send a mail to contact@daintym.com. I would really appreciate this as it would help in tomorrow’s post 😀 Feel free to ask anything and I’ll do my best to answer them! Brace yourself! Thanks!
The ability to create pictures in your mind- Oxford Learners dictionary
It’s absolutely amazing how the mind can conjure up images; images of things seen and unseen. I’m always awestruck when I watch a really good movie, albeit fictional. I believe it takes a very imaginative mind to come up with such characters, scenes and stunts.
I spent the most part of my weekend on a movie marathon- it’s been a while I did that. Some other days I can’t seem to finish a movie in a day. This day was different because I watched five different movies on the spot. Yeah my eyes almost popped out at the end of the day from being exposed to so much light from the TV screen-but I digress.

I watched Mad Max; fury road again. The first time I saw it, I wasn’t really into in. But this time was different. I noticed all the creativity put in play. I couldn’t even recognise Charlize Theron even if she stared me in the face- I think it was finally at the cast I found out she played the lead female role *face palm*
Anywho, I’m not sure I’ve got a lot of Mad Max fans but you just have to applaud the creativity at work in that movie. Did you see their skin? It must have taken a lot to make them look so spooky and slightly irritating. All it took was for someone to imagine it! I’m pretty sure it did not come out exactly as the creative director had in mind but even so, it’s really creative!
There is no limit to the imagination of man! You do need to exercise this part of your mind from time to time. Don’t get stuck in the real world. So what if it doesn’t exist? Still picture it in your mind. The imagination is like a TV screen where you play all sorts of images. It is very important to filter what we imagine, however. For it is the things that come out from man that defile him, not the things he takes in.
There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man. – Mark 7:15 (NKJV)
Be mindful of your imaginations! Yes, there are no limits to the imaginations-that’s why you need to put some reins on it lest it runs wild and free. Lucifer must have had a very imaginative mind as well. He could picture himself being God and ruling over the world. This caused him his downfall. The dude didn’t even get to talk about it before God knew it- shows you how much God pays attention to our thoughts and imaginations.
How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation, On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ –Isaiah 14:12-14 (NKJV)
God has blessed us withpowerful imaginations to create stuffs, to add beauty and value to His creation. In whatever sphere of life you find yourself, you can always create mental pictures and seek ways to bring them to life. If you can see it, you can achieve it.
As I said earlier, be mindful of your imaginations. Lust, covetousness, envy etc. are some of the things that can be expanded by the imaginations- please be careful.
I hope you imagine new things today and the rest of your life as you create new realities for yourself! New realities that would add value and beauty- not destroy and deprive others.
It’s always my desire that you live victorious lives!
Hope you’re still enjoying the Easter holidays- ’cause I am! 😀
