I know how it feels to walk in a sea of faces, and still feel unseen,

To be in a group and not belong,

To have close friends and acquaintances watch you go through dark seasons and not even know.

I know what it means to find solace in silence,

To shed tears in empty rooms,

To wipe the tears away and paste a smile again,

Like a strip of band-aid on a deep wound that just won’t heal.

I know this because I’ve been there.

I’ve been misunderstood, incorrectly labeled,

Mocked as I went on to do the world the biggest favor.

So come, let me clean your wounds,

And remind you of how special you are to me.

Yes, you.

I see you, and I hear you.

Come. Let me comfort you.

I’ve promised to never leave you or abandon you.

I mean it.

I’m always close to you when you’re broken-hearted. Please don’t cower in fear.

Don’t hide the wounds. Let me heal you.

Allow me to make you whole again.

It breaks my heart to see you living as a mere shadow of yourself,

Oh! How I would love for the whole world to see that spark in you!

You’re a lighthouse that should never be hidden.

You were made for more.

It’s time to start again. Believe again. Try again.

But this time, let’s do it together.

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.

Matt 11:28-30 (MSG)

Love,

God.❤️

  1. Refreshing to read this
    To read feelings so true
    So real
    So pure
    So dark
And maybe if we all have a moment of honesty , we will dare to say , feelings so familiar

But what’s most refreshing is to know God wants to respond to it. Thank you Daintym, thank you
