Hey guys!
How are y’all coping with the global pandemic and lockdown? Well, for me it’s been crazy. If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’d know I’m largely introverted and enjoy the four walls of my home. But these days are different. I still wish for the option to go out so I don’t lose my mind. Welps! It’s all for our safety!

This whole experience is really weird. We are surrounded by information more than everrrrr! E.O Wilson describes it as “drowning in information while starving for wisdom.” It just seems like everyone is sitting home churning out content. Which isn’t bad in itself, but can be so overwhelming. Some of us are always quick to update our WhatsApp groups with the increasing numbers of confirmed covid-19 cases. And one begins to wonder how it’s still increasing even in a lockdown! Sighs.

Have I mentioned those who pressure us to ‘start new side hustles, learn new skills etc.’ Again, not bad in itself, but you also need to be sensitive to the fact that this is a global crisis, not some recreational time off. People are struggling to understand what’s going on. Some are even constantly anxious of the fact that they may or may not have the virus; even though they’ve been home for two weeks already without showing symptoms. (Maybe a cough last week.. does that count?)

My point is, these are times no one could have fully prepared us for. The way the numbers shot up in one month was beyond reason! Someone remarked that we moved from ‘Valentine to Quarantine’ (Feb 14th to Mar 14th). I feel we can’t keep avoiding the elephant in the room while trying to make the most of this time. There will be days when you’ll have to feel your feels. When depression will barge in like an unwanted guest, and anxiety will move into a room in your mind palace. Those days will come. And it’s alright.
The hope we have is that we have someone on our side who understands these feelings. He is concerned with every minute detail of our lives (even the fact that you don’t have tissue paper). So talk to Him. When you’re lonely, tell Him about it. When you’re sad, He’s there to listen. When you’re angry, by all means, rant. He’s there to hold you still.
Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help. -Hebrews 4:14-16 MSG
And please, I can’t say this enough, check on one another. If we are indeed hands and feet of Jesus, we will have to extend God’s love to others in these times through our words, prayers, acts of kindness etc.. Again, check in on your friends, neighbors, coworkers etc. Call them up, send messages and please be sensitive.

I pray that we all make it through this period with increased love for God and humanity. Please hang in there.
Love you so much!
