Day 13: A date I would love to go on

Hmm!

Lemme see.

Too many romantic scenes come to mind!

One of which is flying over to Paris for a breakfast date. We’d be outside a café with the sun casting a perfect glow across your face. Then we’d eat croissants and drink coffee.

After that, we’d stroll hand in hand down the beach, admiring all of God’s creation. The water would be kissing our barefeet and our laughter would be competing with the sound of the waves. We’d sip coconut water from the actual fruit. I’d say something silly and you’d chase me down the expanse of the beach.

Then we’d go for dinner in an Italian restaurant with the best pasta. I’d be wearing a really hot dinner dress and you’d be in a neat tuxedo. Although pasta is not a date food, I wouldn’t mind because it’s our favourite. We’ll be goofy about it. You can picture a ‘Lady and the Tramp’ moment right here with spaghetti. 😁

After the meal is done, I’d take off my heels on the long ride back. The windows will be down, hair blowing in the breeze, while we play our favourite songs and sing along. And you would park because we spotted a full moon. I’d join you to sit on the boot while we admire more of God’s creation. Then our eyes would meet and you’d say, ‘You’re the highlight of all of His creation.’ And it’d culminate in a kiss under the moonlight with an awkward giggle after. With that, I’d say, ‘I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day’.

I think Hallmark movies and Romcoms have ruined me for romance! 😂😂😂 Always making me dream of the fairytale.

Anyway, I guess a more realistic date for me would involve serenity, nature, music or movies, creamy cheesy food, and above all, someone I can be comfortably goofy with. Nothing sucks more than going for a date with someone you do not connect with!
