I took you through the  fire and it burnt you  

I took you through the waters and you got drowned  

I took you through tests and trials and you couldn’t stand a day 

Because your eyes were off of me  

You couldn’t see my outstretched hand through it all 

 

Faith is the link between where you are and where I am 

Believe I’m with you through it all 

And you will pass through the fire but it won’t burn you 

Through the waters and you won’t be drowned  

Through the tests and trials and come out victorious  

 

Because I am with you.

    he who created you, Jacob,

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
    I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
 When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.
