When the Light Goes Off

Posted on Updated on

light

When the light goes off

And am left with my thoughts

I take a deep breath

As my body hits the bed

It’s time to let it all out

Tell you everything

Cry till my body spasms with sobs

Oh let me feel your warm embrace

When the light goes off

And my friends are gone

I don’t feel alone

Because I have you

You’re my addiction

The antidote to the storms of life

The fuel to keep me moving

The reason not to die

If I don’t have you

Then I’m afraid

What happens to me

When the light goes off
