People don’t have a problem telling you your dream is impossible to achieve or you’re ludicrous to be thinking that way. At the same time, people have no problem coming to celebrate with you saying ‘I knew you would make it!’ It’s almost like they start by saying this dream is impossible, however, I’d like to see you make it.

This may not mean support or outright dismissal. This is the push that pregnant women need to birth their kids. You don’t pamper a pregnant woman at the point of delivery ‘pretty please, push’ No. Nurses scream in most cases or use a firm voice that shouts ‘PUSH!’ So the woman would put in all she’s got to get the kid out.

I know that’s not a safe example as I haven’t been in that situation. But I’m sure you get the drift. You are pregnant with dreams and possibilities but don’t expect those around you to caress you into birthing the dream. Situations wouldn’t be perfect. You would go through hurdles, rejection, pain, mockery, etc. But you’ve gotta keep pushing. You must have the last laugh!

After all the yelling from nurses and midwives, the mother is still the one who gets to keep the child, along with a huge smile on her face which says ‘it was worth it!’ You get to see your dream birthed and you still get to receive the congratulations from those who felt you were insane.

So what are you waiting for? Pray Until Something Happens (PUSH). PUSH that dream to reality! PUSH even when they ask daunting questions. PUSH even when everyone thinks you’re going bunkers! PUSH!!! Because the only way they would stop laughing is when they see the manifestation of your dreams.

The difference between an unhealthy woman with big tummy and a pregnant woman is that after 9months, the pregnant woman brings forth a child! You have to deliver that dream to reality! That’s the only difference!  So what are you waiting for? Go push that dream into reality!

  6. I love this one, M! The only thing I would add is be happy with the answer you get for your prayers. Sometimes, they aren’t given in the way we ask, but in the way God has planned. A very good post!!

    I like the idea of what you postulate in this writeup about PUSH(ing) our goals and dreams no matter how long it takes. Thanks for sharing.

  10. I have missed really settling down to read blog posts…how have you been??
    Anyway I remember growing up in teens church, we used to have Operation PUSH…though we felt it was a lot then but now I have really come to understand and believe that the effective consistent prayer of a righteous person has great power and will produce results…

    We just have to pray with faith in our hearts, trusting God without doubting
